Langyang Musuem wins Public Art Awards
The design of Langyang Museum artistically transforms the unique cuesta rocks on the northeast coast into architectural form and harmoniously blends in with its natural surroundings. The Museum receives the 7th Public Art Awards, Environmental Integration Award by Ministry of Culture, and is the only award-winning work that the main architectural building acts as the public art object.

Formosa Television Media Center has been awarded the First Prize of the 19th National Golden Award for Architecture
The Formosa Television Media Center has received the 19th National Golden Award for Architecture and is the First Prize in the category of construction quality in the type group of Midrise Commercial Office Building. Designed by KRIS YAO | ARTECH, the building has a metaphoric form of camera viewfinder while multiple architectural volumes creates layers. A glowing box of studio space floats within the giant frame, symbolizing the corporate's logo "Taiwan's eye".

"Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts" and "Han-Gu Villa" have been awarded the "2017 CADA AWARDS" by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA)
The CADA has been recognized as one of the most important architectural awards in the region. This year's CADA is selected by the five international jurors from prominent professional schools and practices of USA, Norway, France, and Denmark). There are eight professional categories for the awards.
"Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts" has won the Gold Award in the category of Education & Religious, and "Han-Gu Villa" have won the Silver Award in the category of Commercial (Office/Hotel).

China Steel Corporation HQ has been awarded the “International Architecture Awards, 2014”
The International Architectural Awards organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and Metropolitan Arts Press, Ltd., has announced the 2014 award winners. This annual program give an important global overview of the current aesthetic direction to the general public worldwide and it has become the most significant international awards program in the world. Winners of this year , including Tadao Ando Architect & Associates, Arup Associates, Steven Holl Architects….etc. In November 2014, the program will present a special exhibition of all awarded buildings, “The City and the World” during the Second Istanbul Design Biennial in Istanbul, Turkey. After Istanbul, the exhibition will then travel inside Europe and the USA in 2015.
On June 27, Kris Yao received an AIA Honorary Fellowship at the 2014 AIA Annual Convention held at Roosevelt University, Chicago
The AIA Annual Convention was held this year in the Auditorium Theater at Roosevelt University, designed by Louis Sullivan, the "father of modernism." Kris Yao and three Spanish architects were bestowed with the Hon. FAIA in the ceremony.
AIA introduced Architect Yao with the following words: "Kris Yao has demonstrated his humanity with the development of physical elements that hold true to human emotion and conditions, cultural and historical context, and a sense of scale and place. His architecture has a poetic nature, using his native eastern aesthetic and spirituality with a sense of natural light, interplay of surfaces and forms and executing all with a high level of innovation and professionalism."
