Distinguished Alumnus Award, College of Environmental Design, University California, Berkeley
Kris Yao received the Distinguished Alumnus Award of the College of Environmental Design, U.C. Berkeley, 2005 After graduating for 26 years, the College of the Environmental Design (CED) of the University of California, Berkeley, is going to give Kris Yao the Distinguished Alumnus Award on May 23rd this year.
In fact, many of the distinguished alumni of CED are also outstanding designers in the architectural design field; for instance, the Californian architect, Eric Owen Moss, is also a former award recipient. On May 23rd, Kris Yao will be wearing the alumnus gown to receive the award and to give a speech at the University graduation ceremony. He says with a smile on his face, “26 years ago, I did not participate at my own graduation. I never thought that I will be back for that cap, but this time a cap with a different tassel!”
