First Prize, Taipei Performing Arts Center Competition

2009

Competition 1st Prize, Taipei Performing Arts Center, 2009 (collaboration with OMA) The Taipei Performing Arts Center is an international competition project with a construction budget of NT.38 hundred million supervised by the Taipei City Government. OMA, the design team lead by Architect Rem Koolhas has finally won the competition. The Dutch architect, Rem Koolhas, is also the former Prizker winners.

He has completed several world renowned projects, including Casa da Musica at Porto, Portugal completed in 2005, and the Seattle Public Library completed in 2007. Taipei Performing Arts Center is Rem Koolhas’ first project in Taiwan, and this foreign team will be collaborated with Artech Architects, the local architecture firm lead by Architect Kris Yao.
