Special Exhibition of Architectural Works at the Opening of Jiangning Art Museum_News | KRIS YAO｜ARTECH

Kicking off the grand opening of the Jiangning Art Museum-Baijia Lake Cultural Center, KRIS YAO | ARTECH, as the designer of the museum, was invited to hold a special exhibition of his architectural works within. The exhibition centers around Mr. Yao's architectural thinking and philosophy, which manifested into sketches, models and various other design works intending to show the public how the architect grab instincts during the process of thinking – how a shot of light are turned into lines on paper, and how they are transformed into the spaces bounded by bricks, wood, gold or stone.

This exhibition displays a variety of architectural works, representing Mr. Yao’s design principles through film, music and text, and showing iconic projects of the firm in recent years with sketches, models and images. Hoping that during the exhibition, visitors not only experience the tangible architectural works, but also take in the thoughts behind each masterpiece, and explore the infinite possibilities of architecture as a performance stage playing a life of better living.
