The architectural concept uses three terms, probing down, regression, and interweaving, to explain the story in relationship between the space, time, and the history of the site. The building geometry follows two sets of axes. One axis, cohering to the direction of tombs of ancient, is the order of the past. The other axis, rotating 19〫from the main axis, follows the present-day city grid. These axial relationships also exist in the building exterior patterns as well as in museum’s circulation and artifact displays.
